Baby Clothes
Prior to Isaac's arrival I had all the baby clothes organized neatly into sizes; newborn, 0 - 3 months, 3 - 6 months, etc. As we've started using the clothes, however, it has come to our attention that baby clothes do not have a consistent size chart. Isaac is wearing some newborn clothes, some 0 - 3 month clothes, and some onesies that say they're for 6 - 9 month olds...yeah right!! How on earth does one keep it all straight? I don't want to miss an outfit, thinking we have a few months before it will fit!! I think we should implement a sizing standard!!! So you moms out there...how do you keep your baby clothes straight?????

Sorry love, I don't have a solution for you! Just a statement that I completely understand what you're saying! All the legs are too long on Peyt and the bodies are too short. I hope his legs catch up!! :o) Isaac is a doll......
I go through them frequently and put away what I don't need, and try things on even thought hey might seem too big!
IMO, Carters and Gymboree fit big or true to size
Old Navy fits very small
Gap fits small
Walmart brands fit true to size
Target brand fits small
But thats just my kid.
Look at it (forget sizing charts all together. I have them all figured out. Gerber runs small; TCP runs big; Walmart-small; Target-on target; Gap/old navy- small; Little me- awkward short and wide; and many more...just ask)!
hahahaha OR if it looks like it will fit... try it on him. if it is a winner new outfit for the time. Next day same thing... until you finally have enough for him to be little in. and then you do it all over again for another growth spurt. When you notice his clothes getting snug put it in "storage" and move on to the bigger sizes.
I can come help now... our life is settled down once again and we are ALL well now! Let me know when we can come play!
Girl, if you find an answer, let me know!! I DID miss out on some cute 3-6 month outfits because he had already outgrown them by the time he was the right age. After that, I went ahead and pulled out ALL the clothes we had for him up to 12 months and just washed them all and keep them all out. Then, as he outgrows them, I just put them away. At this moment, he has outgrown all of his 0-3 stuff, but he wears a 3-6 in some things and a 12 month in others! Ack! I have no system, and it drives me crazy!
